I had a great experience during my health screening. I took my 5 year old daughter along and the staff were all great to her. I had a high blood pressure reading and followed up later with my own doctor. I had never had a high reading my whole life. I am really glad they caught it!

I’ve taken advantage of CHC Wellness screenings every year since my employer started offering it. You can’t get more convenient than having them come to your office! I had them forward the results to my physician. He was impressed by the thoroughness of the tests. Even though I get regular blood test from my doctor due to being on cholesterol medication, my doctor said I should definitely take advantage of the CHC screenings. They’re a great benefit!

I was very impressed by the way the blood was taken. I have always had a hard time getting blood drawn. The veins always collapse or hide and sometimes they have to take the blood from my ankle. So I was very nervous having someone come in to draw blood. The woman who drew the blood said to not worry, she wouldn’t try until she was sure it would go through. I had heard that many times, but she was right. She got it on the first time. I was so impressed. I wish I could take her with me everywhere.

Last year was the first year that my wife took part in the program and, thanks to the comprehensive screening, it was found that she had high cholesterol and that her triglyceride level was not right. This prompted an appointment to her doctor and it was also found that she had an enlarged heart. If it was not for the CHC screening, the doctor's appointment would not have been scheduled and none of this information would have been known. She is now on medicine for her cholesterol and triglycerides and is on a program for her heart. Thank you!

I felt the need to share with you my experience with our last health screening. I'll be honest, I didn't want to do it, I thought, I go to the doctor at least once a year, I'm relatively healthy, so why go? But everyone else in the office was going and told me I should. Well, I am SO glad I did.
I had the results sent to my long-time family physician and my gynecologist. Within a week, my GYN's nurse called me because my Doctor was concerned about a couple of the liver enzyme numbers in my tests. She told me to drink no alcohol and take no Tylenol for 3 months (gasp) and get tested again. I put it off longer than that until I had a standard check-up with my family doc. He wasn't concerned but ran another blood test. Needless to say, 3 more blood tests and a call to my family doc from the health dept. later, I found out that I have Hepatitis C. We can only ascertain that I became infected over 30 years ago from blood transfusions I had after an accident. I now have a hepatologist to add to my list of doctors. After a liver biopsy this summer, they found that my liver is in VERY good condition for having it for so long. I do not need treatment yet, but still no Tylenol or liquor. I am a life time designated driver now. :)
