Screening and HRA
There are two primary methods of data collection in the CHC Wellness program: a biometric screening and a cost-validated Health Risk Appraisal (HRA).
Our biometric screenings consists of a full venipunture blood draw and a blood pressure reading. The blood draw is comprised of 37 different tests including a full lipid panel (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc), fasting glucose reading, a complete blood count and many others. More detail can be found by clicking here: Wellness Screening.
The Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) utilized by CHC Wellness is validated to cost and is based in over 30 years of research by the University of Michigan’s Health Management Research Center (Learn more about the University of Michigan research). The health risks identified by our HRA are those that have been proven to impact medical costs.
By combining the data collected from the biometric screening and the validated HRA, CHC Wellness is able to gather the necessary data to create a comprehensive picture of health for both individual participants and our client organizations.
